Small-Town, Big Charm
No stay in Jasper National Park would be complete without experiencing the warm hospitality of the town that bears its name.
Surrounded by towering mountain peaks, the town of Jasper is filled with rustic charm and refreshing hospitality. Although some of the town was affected by the 2024 wildfires, there was limited impact to its main downtown area, where most of the restaurants and shops can be found. What parts were affected recovered quickly, and you will find that the main commercial areas of the town are as vibrant and lively as ever.

Take a stroll through the downtown Jasper and you’ll find shops, museums, and art galleries galore, catering to those who want to bring a piece of the Rockies home with them or simply just soak in the culture.

A Journey to Remember: How to get to Jasper

Journey through the Clouds
Journey through the Clouds begins in Vancouver and takes you east through some of Canada's most stunning landscapes towards the BC interior. As the train winds its way through the fertile Fraser Valley, you'll be treated to views of lush farmlands and the mighty Fraser River.
Highlights along this route include the dramatic Hell's Gate, the vibrant hues of Rainbow Canyon, and more. After an overnight stop in Kamloops, British Columbia, you’ll head north into the Rockies through lush forests, passing highlights like Pyramid Falls and Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.

Rainforest to Gold Rush
Our other route connecting Jasper to Vancouver, Rainforest to Gold Rush, forges its own path through the diverse terrains and true wilderness of the Northern Rockies. Starting in Vancouver, the route immediately heads north through the coastal rainforests and fjords of British Columbia.
After an overnight stay at world-renowned Whistler, you’ll spend the day journeying on towards the charming town of Quesnel, passing gold-flecked canyons and vast lakes, for one more restful overnight stay. On your third day, you’ll ascend into the Rockies, passing the jagged peaks and majestic glaciers of Jasper National Park.
